Terms of Use
- You must be 13 or older to use Lift'd. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
- We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Break the rules and we'll remove your content and may ban your account without warning.
- Report anything that breaks these rules. We review reports within 24 hours.
- Workouts, form tips and nutrition targets in Lift'd are general information, not medical advice. Train at your own risk.
- You own what you post. You give us permission to show it in the app.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Lift'd ("Lift'd", "we", "us"). They cover the Lift'd app and website at joinliftd.com, including the iPhone app (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. Who can use Lift'd
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.
- You must give accurate sign-up information and keep your password private. You're responsible for everything that happens on your account.
- One person per account. Don't impersonate anyone, and don't create an account if we've banned you before.
2. Community rules — zero tolerance
Lift'd is for people helping each other train. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You may not post, message, or upload anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens, shames, or intimidates anyone, including body-shaming;
- is hateful or discriminatory based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age, or uses slurs;
- contains nudity, pornography, or sexual content, or sexualises anyone — and anything sexual involving a minor is reported to the authorities;
- promotes violence, self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders;
- promotes illegal drugs, or sells or promotes steroids or other controlled or prescription substances;
- is spam, a scam, misleading advertising, or an attempt to collect other people's personal information;
- shares someone else's private information, or photos or videos of people who didn't agree to be filmed (be careful filming in the gym);
- infringes someone's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- is dangerous misinformation about training, health, or nutrition.
You also may not hack, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service, get around blocks or bans, or use the Service for anything illegal.
3. Reporting, blocking and moderation
- Report: use the ⋯ menu on any post, clip, comment, chat message, or profile — or tap a direct message — to report it.
- Message requests: a first direct message from someone you don't follow waits in Requests until you accept it, and you can block or delete it instead.
- Block: blocking someone removes them from your feed, search, and chats, and removes any follow between you, both ways.
- Our filter: Lift'd automatically blocks common slurs and profanity in usernames, posts, comments, and chat.
- Our response: we review reports within 24 hours. When content breaks these rules we remove it, and we remove the users who posted it. We may remove content or suspend or ban accounts at any time, with or without notice, if we believe they break these Terms or put others at risk.
If you think we made a mistake, email us at support@joinliftd.com.
4. Your content
You own the posts, photos, videos, comments, and messages you share ("your content"). By posting, you give Lift'd a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and distribute your content in the Service, as your privacy settings allow, so the app can work (for example, showing your post in followers' feeds or your video in Clips). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by others or kept briefly in backups.
Only post content you have the right to share. You're responsible for your content, and we don't endorse it.
Lift'd's own content — the app, logo, design, and learning clips — belongs to us or our licensors. Some learning clips use free-licence stock video; the creator is credited on each clip. Don't copy or reuse our content outside the Service without permission.
5. Health and fitness disclaimer
Lift'd is not a medical service and does not give medical advice. Exercise clips, form cues, workout tracking, and calorie and macro targets are general information for healthy adults. They are estimates and are not tailored medical, nutritional, or training advice.
- Talk to a doctor before starting a new exercise programme or making big changes to your diet — especially if you're pregnant, under 18, have a medical condition or injury, or take medication.
- Stop exercising and get help if you feel pain, dizziness, faintness, or shortness of breath.
- Use proper form, a spotter, and safe equipment. Exercise has risks, including injury, and you take on those risks when you train.
- Tips from other members are their opinions, not professional advice.
6. Legal terms
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we stop offering the Service.
The Service is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep Lift'd running and accurate, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that calculations (like calorie targets or leaderboards) are exact.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Lift'd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for injuries from exercise or diet decisions, or for content posted by other users. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.
Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of your content or because you broke these Terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows.
Changes
We may update these Terms. If the changes are significant, we'll let you know in the app or on this page before they take effect. Using the Service after that means you accept the new Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
If you use the iPhone app
These Terms are between you and Lift'd, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims about it (including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You must also follow the App Store's terms of service.
